I'll admit, I had a picture of Orlando Bloom I'd refer to whenever I needed to while writing Dark Thirst. After that, I discovered the wonderfulness that is young actor Ben Barnes (a la Prince Caspian in the Narnia movies). Not only do I think that he's more age-appropriate for Brandon, he's pretty much got the same kind of facial structure -- the great eyes, great bone structure, that I envisioned for Brandon. And man, does this kid have fantastic hair. Before I even knew who in the hell he was, I sat through Prince Caspian thinking, "Jeez, this guy has an amazing coif!"
